Amazon: Kuelap and Gocta synonyms of Culture and Natural Beauty

Apart from Kuelap, the Amazon region has one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Peru, Gocta, with its 771 meters high
San Martin. The Kuelap Fortress, is located on top of a mountain at 3000 meters, was built by the Chachapoyas culture is estimated to have been built around 1000. The narrowness of their flags suggest it was built to defend the docking of other tribes, served as a shelter for the nobles and food storage. Some historians claim that Kuelap was constructed for a refuge from the residents of the area in emergencies. Kuelap is a sign of cultural wealth of this region of Peru, impressive buildings were made before the Incas and are a sign of wit and intelligence of our ancestors, they built complex passages, huge walls with large stone blocks and sophisticated drainage, all this taking into account the geography and the difficult access to this area. Apart from Kuelap, the Amazon region has one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Peru, Gocta, with its 771 meters high is considered the "fourth highest waterfall in the world", it also noted that recently was discovered Yumbilla Waterfall, also in the Amazon region and according to the evidence in wikipedia would be the third highest waterfall in the world, surpassing their 895 meters Gocta unfortunately the latter is not yet promoted cataract within the tour of this region of the country.
