Meet the Cave of the Owls in Huanuco
It is a huge limestone cave that holds within it a large colony of birds, known as santanas guacharos or very similar to owls.
HUÁNUCO. It is located within the territories of the National Park Tingo María in Huánuco department, province of Leoncio Prado. Huanuco. This cave, like the cave Guagapo has no defined end, has one of the most important populations of guácharos, birds considered living fossils because of its age and the process of extinction. It is also the most important point of attraction of Tingo Maria National Park. This cave, located in the foothills of the Andes "Sleeping Beauty" is the main attraction of the Tingo Maria National Park. His natural material is limestone and rock formations are the stalagmites and stalactites, on his departure or end is not yet possible to make calculations, only 400 meters has been explored within.
